Mars, a real journey into fantasy and imagination: located in the middle of a new, almost sterile urban development in the city of Hwaseong, near the city of Seoul, which creates the illusion of living on Mars

Mars' client wanted something out of the ordinary and ubiquitous, a multi-purpose building containing his own house plus two others for rent and several commercial spaces, also for rent. Moon Hoon responds perfectly to the requests presented, creating a design that is anything but conventional

Each floor of Mars is independent of the other and has a unique geometry that evokes movement and imaginary context. The floors are joined like 3D puzzles, creating an illusory experience of different gravity. The first floor is rectangular and open, intended for commercial use, the second contains the two flats while the third presents the client's own flat

The slabs of the 2nd and 3rd floors, which are also the roof of the 1st and 2nd floors respectively, are not flat but angled and bent, a very rare aspect in architecture, for a dynamic and illusory spatial experience in which the bent floors provide a false sense of gravity. The sphere on the 3rd floor imitates the mini Pantheons or Boulle's Spheres
