The story of urban regeneration in the area around Leaf Street, just outside Manchester city center begins with an initial demolition of Victorian townhouses after World War II, followed by a second, which saw the destruction of the infamous "Hulme Crescents"

The residential complex is distributed over five levels of apartments. The volume is compact and meanders along the lot, decreasing in scale gradually going north. The single-family houses are developed on three floors and are on par with the neighboring 1930s homes

The building with its S-shape creates two semi-enclosed public green spaces. The courtyard located at the entrance has the feature of a garden plaza and faces the Hulme Arch Bridge. There is a park across Leaf Street for children to play in

The presence of a wide variety of vegetation makes it possible for residents to fully enjoy all seasons. Bicycle and pedestrian paths in the lot are connected with the existing infrastructure. In this way, the building complex and the public space all around form a single urban plan
