The New Islands Brygge School, a new wooden school building, located near the port of Copenhagen, is distinguished by the use of innovative teaching environments, with food and physical activity at its centre
Its triangular shape takes its cue from its location and the proximity of three places, the Brygge Islands, the port of Copenhagen and Amager Commons, which will also inspire materials and colours
The dining room is centrally located, food being a key element and hosts a variety of activities
The room has a high ceiling, as well as the spaces that connect the different rooms of the school
The architecture of the school, in addition to giving the theme of food a relevant importance, also stimulates games and physical activity, thanks to the spiral design of the building, prompting the completion of the roof of the school, intended for the sports area
The external and internal spaces are connected to each other: each class is guaranteed direct access to the roof, from which you can enjoy the surrounding view
