Tommaso Michieli and Christian Zanatta, graduates from IUAV in Venice, founded michielizanatta.net in 2004. The studio was born dynamically and carries this characteristic as a central element from the choice of the two operational headquarters in Udine and Treviso. michielizanatta.net has always sought to investigate architecture while having fun with it; unraveling its intrinsic and foundational aspects with the practical intention of expressing contemporary solutions. The studio, already in its own name, does not stop at Michieli and Zanatta, but continues with a .net(work) to underline the fact that it aims at an extended system. The intention is to create a network, aware that this represents added value to each project. There is a sympathetic relationship towards architectural solutions that lean towards any type of sustainability, whether social or environmental. michielizanatta.net is able to provide a wide range of comprehensive solutions for different projects, both for public and private clients in Italy and abroad, from feasibility studies and conceptual designs to final documents. This process is planned to integrate the specific skills of the various professionals involved in the design of residential, commercial, and public spaces. In 12 years of activity, michielizanatta.net has acquired expertise in residential design for both private and collective housing, particularly delving into aspects related to sustainability and energy efficiency of buildings. They have worked on various projects related to the retail world, workspaces, and hospitality. Lastly, they have gained specific competence in designing public spaces, among which stand out the project carried out for the Marquesinas del Pasante in Mestre, the ongoing project for the redevelopment of the New Seafront in Lignano Sabbiadoro, and the project ranked second in the international competition for the Redevelopment of the Ex Slaughterhouse in Udine.
