Mika Tennekoon


Mika moved back to Sri Lanka in 2016 upon completing her Masters in Fine Arts from Shantiniketan in India. Her work explores themes such as our relationship with nature and the environment, our connection to the divine feminine, and the unseen. Mika has worked globally on many artivism projects including Pangea Seed’s “The Great West Coast Migration: An art benefit for Sharks & Oceans”.

During her time in London, she curated kids art workshops for a UK based non-profit called “A Whale of a Time”. Her more recent works include working with the Galle Literary Festival in Sri Lanka to curate the Art Walk - an art exhibition showcasing local and international artists. She also exhibits her work at the Saskia Fernando Gallery, one of the island’s premier galleries
