Arnaldo Pomodoro among Places, Memories, and Visionary Projects

The Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation is ready to present a new unmissable exhibition from October 4, 2025, to May 31, 2026. Open Studio #4: Arnaldo Pomodoro. Places, Memories, and Visions is an experience that explores the long and fascinating artistic research of the master through broad themes such as place, memory, and vision. A journey that traces his reflection on the nature of sculpture and his relationship with space, from the seventies to the present day.

A dialogue between artworks and memory

The exhibition unfolds in a continuous dialogue between sculptures and archival materials, offering a profound analysis of Pomodoro's artistic journey and evolutions. The artist's most iconic works, such as the Scepters and the Shores of the seas, intertwine with lesser-known pieces, revealing the creative process that has brought to life sculptural spaces where the memory of the past, both personal and collective, becomes a vision in the making.

From the Mediterranean to Egypt

Pomodoro's innovative vision is not limited to sculpture as an object, but creates environments that refer to concrete and ideal places, such as the Mediterranean and Egypt, giving life to suggestions of great intensity. The artist, in fact, has been able to use sculpture to build "spaces" that tell stories, reflecting his perception of a world where art and architecture merge.

Visionary Projects: Sculptural Utopias

A central section of the exhibition is dedicated to Visionary Projects by Pomodoro, including the New Cemetery of Urbino and The Pietrarubbia Group. These works, which oscillate between reality and utopia, are sculptural environments that fit into a broader context of poetic reflection. Through models, drawings, and archival materials, the audience will be able to enter Pomodoro's ideal world, where sculpture is both architecture and a space to inhabit.

The Labyrinth and the ongoing search

The exhibition concludes with the Entrance into the labyrinth, a project that, from 1995 to 2011, represented the reworking of his research on the themes of place, memory, and vision. A final chapter that closes a cycle of artistic experiments that has made sculpture a form in continuous evolution.
