The concept of the Attico NB attic renovation project is described by the oxymoron "enter outside," which signifies a harmonious integration of the interior with the surrounding nature by promoting views of greenery and subtly lowering the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces. This design, where every detail reflects the beauty of the surrounding landscape, combines functionality with aesthetics while providing comfort and tranquility
Indoor-outdoor relationship: the terrace as the heart of design
In a building located in the province of Bergamo, studio L2 designed the renovation of Attico NB attic, whose width opens onto a spacious terrace overlooking the picturesque forest. Becoming the focal point of the project, the terrace creates a unique experience, linking the exterior with the interior and defining the spaces based on the natural landscape and its colors
Space with harmonious layout and eye-catching details
Designed with functionality and aesthetics in mind, the apartment offers an open layout in which the kitchen, dining room and living room merge into one harmonious space. Custom-made furniture runs the entire length of the apartment, introducing a rhythm based on the golden ratio. This rhythm is repeated longitudinally, but differs in the height of the doors, which additionally have two types of finishes: concrete or fluted wood. The arrangement of furnishings develops gradually: from the TV cabinet, to the gold-painted niche that hides the entrance to the bedroom area, to a series of service cabinets
Terrace as an integral part of everyday life
The terrace, a key element of the project, seamlessly transitions into the kitchen space through large glass windows, thereby expanding the living space. This allows residents to enjoy a beautiful view of the sweeping panorama, which becomes an integral part of their daily lives. The monolithic island in the kitchen, covered with ceramic "laminam emperador," engages in a visual dialogue with the terrace visible through the glass, creating a cohesive aesthetic whole. The choice of earthy-toned flooring reflecting the external surroundings adds coziness and harmony with nature to the interior, emphasizing the uniqueness of this project
Minimalist bedroom and spacious bathrooms
Spacious and independent bathrooms provide residents with intimacy and comfort. The bedroom, on the other hand, with its minimalist design, becomes an ideal place for rest and relaxation. The subtle shadows created by the textured concrete effect of Rondine ceramics on the main wall add depth to the room, creating an atmosphere of calm and coziness
Lighting as part of the interior harmony
It's also worth mentioning the individually designed lighting and the selection of fixtures, which perfectly highlight the chromatic contrasts between different interior textures and reflect the rhythm of modules, creating a cohesive composition. The only standout element is the chandelier in the dining area, which, through its play of lights, gives the entire interior a unique character
L2 studio’s innovative approach to materials
Many of the material solutions proposed by the L2 studio in this project were adopted by the manufacturer, who then used them in other apartment projects. This is a recognition of the innovation and quality of this concept, which not only inspires but also influences trends in the interior design industry
