Villa hyper-dynamic GA ON JAI from modern Korean language

GA ON JAI, an ecological space, which follows the natural lines of the landscape in which it is immersed; an introverted architecture, which focuses on interiority, protecting from pollution and the invasiveness of the external world.

Villa with ever-changing and organic forms

Among the most significant architecture projects by IROJE KHM Architects, GA ON JAI represents a fascinating synthesis of tradition and innovation: located in the prestigious expo-town of GangNam, this villa with ever-changing and organic forms was born from the client's request to have a space capable of reinterpreting Korean architectural culture in a modern key; the result is a unique residential work, characterized by always new and unexpected paths that lead to the heart of the house, where a green oasis, protected and lush, creates a deep connection between architecture and nature.

The inner courtyard, heart of the villa that strengthens its indigenous identity

The architectural gestures that make up the villa are inspired by key words of the traditional Korean language, reinforcing the indigenous cultural identity of the entire project. Among these, “MADANG” represents the typical inner courtyard, reinterpreted in a contemporary way to meet the demand for an intimate and protected space. In GA ON JAI, the MADANG becomes an open, livable, and lush heart, where nature and architecture coexist in balance, offering a healthy and cozy environment inside the house.
