A thick and inhabited skin
According to Guillaume Sibaud, co-founder of the Franco-Brazilian firm Triptyque Architecture and Architects Office, the project addresses one of the major challenges for contemporary architectural projects: rethinking the envelope of tall buildings.
The tower adopts the principle of a thick facade, an intermediate space between interior and exterior that protects from the sun and can be inhabited. This formal simplicity, inspired by brutalism, restores centrality to light, structure, and spatial quality.
