The renovation project on the top floor of a concrete building includes a café, Noenco cafe, a unique and attractive addition made entirely of bamboo that transforms the building into a city icon

The host of the renovation project is a mid-rise, concrete building located in the center of Vinh city in north central Vietnam. The top floor has stunning views of low-rise houses and magnificent landscapes, and this is where Vo Trong Nghia Architects will design the restaurant

The existing building enclosure is untouched and the addition is in the roof. The material chosen for the Noenco cafe is bamboo which is easily accessible in the tropical climate and reduces construction time and budget, and is extremely lightweight and easily transportable

The space is reminiscent of a cave: it cannot be seen in its entirety, but in each place there is a different view of the surrounding city. The huge domed structure on the roof is recognizable from anywhere in the city and is a genuine meeting place for the city's inhabitants
