The Pavillon, the guesthouse made of glass, microcement, and zen gardens

In Piedmont, inside a private industrial area comes to life the Pavilion, a guesthouse of 2000 sqm. The client's request was to have a space close to the company to accommodate and at the same time find peace.

Lodge surrounded by a lake

The building is one of the recent architectural projects by Damilano Studio Architects, measuring 320 sqm and surrounded by a charming body of water spanning 580 sqm. The entrance is designed with a drawbridge that enhances the project, giving it a mysterious allure.

The structure of the architectural project

The guesthouse is supported by a reinforced concrete foundation, with a metal structure, wooden cladding adequately insulated, microcement flooring (both indoors and outdoors). To access the interior, a ramp in microcement with a stone-like finish is used.

The entire guesthouse in continuity with the landscape

The space opens up to the living area; here too the floor is in polished microcement. Moving on to the spacious living area and finally to the bedroom.
Inside, through the glass walls, a constant dialogue with the outside is maintained, with changing scenographies depending on the seasons. In the living room, we are welcomed by a cozy Pack sofa by Edra; crossing the sliding door leads to the dining/kitchen area, where we find the table in gold leaf by Dilmos Milano, with Foggini chairs for Edra and Edra's Scrigno sideboard. Here too, there is a large window from which we can see the water surrounding the pavilion.
Even in the bedroom, thanks to the sliding glass doors, there is a continuum with the terrace.
The bathrooms, with Gessi faucets, Tubes towel warmers, Ingo Maurer lights, Nemo Lighting by Nemo Group, Bernhard Osann's Fox model, and Mohebban rugs, complete the whole setup.

The lake and the landscape context of the guesthouse.

The lake is surrounded by a 740 sqm garden with trees and shrubs from Vivai Roagna and Vivai Luchetti in Pistoia. The garden, which combines the essence of Japan with Piedmontese culture, has a 380 sqm grassy area, with 23 tall trees, 174 medium-sized bushes, and 1630 ground cover plants and bonsai from Japan.
