Light and matter. The perfect balance of Villa Tenca

Villa Tenca embodies the balance between elegance, sustainability, and dialogue with nature, blending indoor and outdoor spaces into a visual and sensory continuum.

A continuous dialogue between architecture and nature

Immersed in the Mantuan countryside, Villa Tenca is a manifesto of elegance and integration between architecture and landscape. Designed by architect Angelo Tenca as his personal residence, it stands out for its structure articulated in pure and ample volumes, where indoor and outdoor spaces blend in perfect harmony. The project stems from a deep connection with the context, enhancing light and greenery as fundamental elements of the living experience, through large openable windows and essential design shading systems.

Light as a compositional element

The relationship between interior and exterior is materialized in a visual and tangible connection: the large glass surfaces, partly openable, create a sense of constructive lightness and continuity between inhabited space and surrounding nature. The architecture, characterized by an elegant minimalism, seeks balance and proportion, but at the same time introduces material references to the territory, such as the use of solid terracotta bricks, reminiscent of rural and urban constructions in the Mantua area. Villa Tenca thus fits into the line of the most refined architectural projects that place living in an empathetic relationship with the landscape.

A functional and welcoming layout

The spatial organization reflects a simple and functional setting, oriented based on solar exposure. The central volume, taller, houses the living area, which opens to the west onto a large porch overlooking the greenery. To the right, the sleeping area offers intimate and protected spaces, while to the left, the study area develops, completely glazed and connected to the service rooms and garage. Completing the complex is a lightweight structure intended for a technical room and tool storage, discreet and perfectly integrated into the context.

Technology and sustainability for total comfort

The villa is constructed using a traditional building system and cutting-edge materials, ensuring energy efficiency and comfort. The load-bearing walls made of seismic cellular blocks, horizontal and vertical insulation, and special glass enable the building to fall under the NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) category. The technological system includes low-temperature radiant heating, electric heat pump, controlled mechanical ventilation, solar thermal and photovoltaic system with storage, ensuring a zero-bill energy balance and a deep respect for the environment.
