Materials for external walls and facades
Exterior walls and facades are an important part of any building construction. It is a structure able to protect the inside of the building from bad weather or other climatic factors. Additionally, exterior walls can contribute to the aesthetics of buildings and provide a pleasing appearance. Good facade design can also increase the energy efficiency of the structure as it can help regulate the internal temperature. From an architectural design perspective, facades are often designed with different materials and colors to provide more visual variety to the building.
In general, exterior walls are made of strong materials. However, in recent years we have witnessed the rapid development of new materials for exterior walls and facades that can ensure greater durability but also less impact on the surrounding environment. Furthermore, the latter allow the adoption of innovative solutions that improve the aesthetics of the buildings without compromising the structural quality.
Building facades must always be designed taking into account the locally prevailing climatic conditions. A good architect must foresee the use of products certified by the most stringent anti-wind and anti-weather tests in order to ensure greater resistance to extreme weather conditions as well as to all those vibrations of mechanical origin which can affect over time with the passage of people or vehicles very close to the building itself and which could cause irreparable injury.
